Made it back from dinner, took the thundering herd out, our 3 dogs
of all things our locality has given BF and Son a application for a free dump
here in our county dump I got so ticked at the idiots that own garbage pickup known them since they where kids did not like them before even less now they inherited after their Dad passed and they robbed it from their Mother same with his 300 thousand dollar car museum they have tripled garbage prices since he passed I refuse to pay it we go the dump every other month anyway we get a free dump run from our county

Gee a "free dump" huh - how about bringing an elephant over and letting him take a dump at the dump? That would fix the idiots.

They don't even offer dump service here at any price. You have to cart your own to dumpsters.

At our dump you have to pay for a dump sticker, not sure of the exact price, which kinda sucks BUT ours also has an area with all sorts of free stuff. It’s just a section of the dump where people drop stuff off and then you can take whatever you want. They also have a book shed. All free. So that’s nice. Sometimes people drop off really nice stuff or almost new stuff! We’re in kind of a richer town and it’s amazing what they just throw away! they just toss it and buy something new. So you can find great stuff. Or you can find total carp. It all depends haha we call it the “mall” sometimes.

Also we used to always take our trash to the dump until about a couple years ago we got sick of it and called the service the condos use and they said we could join it I think technically you’re not supposed to but we’re directly on their route so they let us join and it’s not too expensive either. Soooo nice having them just pick it up haha

We have to pay for garbage pickup. It's included in the water bill. They bring the dumpsters to you- one for kitchen waste and one for recycled stuff. If you have lawn clippings, etc. you pay to put a tag on your garbage.

We have free branch/ leaf disposal during certain months of the year. Plus free snow plowing on streets. Except my house is at the end of dead end street (prophetic) and they don't think they should bother with me. I end up clearing the good sized driveway and the street from my driveway to the next neighbor - NO charge!! I usually clear off snow on mailboxes and in front of the box so owners can get to them safely.

No sidewalks out here, so I consider the driveway to be mine. After snow stops I run out and clear a path to walk on. Later I clear the entire area.

PS I don't have a car. But my brother comes over now and then- parking on the street (narrow ) is frowned upon people rather head for my driveway after I clear it.

We have water and sewer from the City. Garbage pickup is from Waste Management-- A nationwide company.

Going to the yolo county landfill is always an adventure too. We take big and toxic garbage there. We used to get tree branch pickup. Now we are supposed to use a big tote for that.

The utility easement runs on the far side of my lot - most cheapskates (oops I mean people) just throw their garbage there, box springs, old carpeting, broken picnic tables, etc. etc.

I called the police once to report that. She said since it's NOT on my property, I should mind my own business.

that need their toys taken away and spanked with a board on the bottoms for what they did to their Mother
