Nope. I was going to be all done by the first part of September (after the restaurant closed and clean up done). But, a club house employee quit so now I have to cover for her until mid-October.

I have the 2 littles in the brooder that are feathering out pretty well, the bigs are crowing like mad or running from the mad crowers lol. Had to postpone butcher to this weekend.
I also have a staggered hatch in my incubator right now with 4 eggs due to hatch in the next couple days so I'm hovering over that to keep an eye on things. I feel View attachment 1878735

My husband picked up the lumber for the new run/roof/coop today. The chickens and I will have a roof before winter! Thank G. This is going to save an inordinate amount of shoveling and I'm so happy I can't stand myself What will I do with all of my free time? Ha...yeah right Might just mean I won't have an excuse to not shovel out the cattle jugs!

Another day with the in laws - spent in a tourist trap cutesy shopping area. too much to eat, but the waffle and vanilla ice cream were out of sight good. One more day at Monmouth Park racetrack, and then we send them home.
