Hey Good morning everyone got to sit a bit early today pretty thrilled the guy's are doing a garbage run with the coupon today recycle we never pay for cat litter yes.. Im your rants are always allowed wait the sky's are not cloudy all day but are here cooler wore a sweat jacket out to do the coop always where my ball cap out keeps the hair out of my face got out there no hat ? to lazy to come find it

Cabbage takes quite a while to form a head, and by the time it starts to look nice, bugs come along and chew it up.

I have now swatted 263 mosquitoes in under two weeks.......not that I'm on a mission or anything.

I have had 3 great cabbage heads this year but out of like 6 other no go gave to chickens they love them root and all my coops are done nothing to do in silkie still on eggs started the 30th of July so waiting

Rain coming in this afternoon. DH has cornered the chimney sweep guy into a chit-chat fest but at least he is done with the outside ladder chimney stuff. I suppose the rain will break up the party here in a bit. My sheep love the garden leftovers and then the chickens pick through what is left of that.

Funny never had sheep Dad said they smelled bad he was hard core cattle guy sold beef to them never had lamb or sheep meat

There used to be goats here. They were Pyrenees mountain goats. They did a lot of damage. A lot depends on the type of land you have. This is mostly terraced mountainside. The problem with the sheep and goats is they destroy the edges of the terraces and the land is continually crumbling away. Anything you don't want eaten you have to fence off.
