I’m drinking my coffee on the go today from my trusty contigo cup. Since I’m on rations, I’ll be begging off refills from whoever can spare some.

It's 1.5 minutes out of your life, but I think this is one of the best episodes of chicken TV I've recorded!
We've got crowing bushes that sound ever so cute, a counter crowing rooster who is starting to get pissed, unnecessary predator alerts, a bedraggled looking broody hen with 3 adorable chicks in tow and a little triple leg kick herding of Cali finale!!

That's too cute. Fabio is a beef cake. Your place is so pretty and green!

Good afternoon/evening cafe. This has been a very busy day!

We finally got the roosters processed. Igor had to make a kill cone, 5 gallon buckets are awesome! Today went smoothly, but Igor understood when I said I'd lost my nerve to do the deed over the last week. I did all the rest no problem so the next time I'm going to try.

We have 2 chicks and the second 2 are working hard to get out of their shells. The two that have hatched have naked necks, yay for that!

I got the coop cleaned out and we finished up a new nest area today, I put some golf balls in there and we've repaired the pvc feeder and done some other odds and ends. I'm pooped, so there's some strong coffee for anyone who needs a jolt.

It looks like a trip to the UK is on the horizon. I've been trying to get funding to expand my chicken behavioral study here.
Bristol University may have some interest.
