BYC Café

Sadly, Ron is right, probably no rain until October, maybe even November. :hit
I hope we start getting rain earlier but most years we can go well into November before we get rain

I've been so darn lucky with the weather here lately. It's gorgeous here again and expected to be more of the same tomorrow.
My cranberry viburnum is looking splendid! Except for the leaves that got chewed on by some caterpillars. But they got theirs! I picked them off and fed them to the chickens!!

That plant reminds me of my youth. It's loaded.

Are they the edible type?

Tribe 2 currently comprises 2 roosters and 3 hens. I've been trying to encourage the hens to sit and hatch. I made some nest box changes and let 2 piles of eggs accumulate. It's worked, but with one problem..............all three hens are trying to sit.:he

They are edible but I've never harvested them. I leave them for the birds hoping to get a visit from a flock of Cedar Waxwings.

A small flock of about 4 visited the chicken bush this spring. Just for a day but it was nice to see them.
