I see Meg-in-MT is in Montana, yes Naked Necks are awesome in hot obviously, and awesome in cold. Do great here well below zero winters, first birds outside playing in the snow they are freaking amazing.
But... I've hear Montana winters can be pretty much Arctic!!
DW has a cousin in Eureka. NN's are awesome but I don't know if I could recommend them for the Arctic :lau
DW's cousin hand forges some perty knives told him he should try out that Forged in Fire show but he ain't interested. His website http://westbrookknives.blogspot.com/?m=0

Hi BC, how have you been?

Oh really? I figured because of the lack of feathers they wouldn't! That's curious, Cap. Maybe I could get some.
They are the craziest birds, flapping their wings, bare skin showing all over playing in the snow 10 below zero laughing at me bundled up in a carhart freezing out feeding them ... Lol.
I don't know how they do it but I even tested them one yr when I first got them, really just had too many and wanted separate breeding groups. Had one bunch just in a dog kennel with tarps wrapped around and on top, one completely open side and they had zero frostbite and no probs thrived even with the wind and snow blowing in. I had Jersey Giants also and they would stay inside while the NN were out pushing snow lol.

Hi BC, how have you been?
Life's great but horrible lol. Still have too many birds and feed bill is $$$.
The two BB bronze Tom turkeys I have, getting close to fall now so I have to do the 'deed' not looking forward to it they are the sweetest friendliest birds I've ever had eat right out of your hand and look you right in the eye begging for more...

I just sold a Turkey that was a bit pushy and the last poult I hatched this year. And yeah, the feed bills are killer. I have Celadon egg laying quail, California quail, now not only LF polish, CCL, and cochins, but also bantam cochins and Mille Fleur D'uccles. And turkeys
