Morning Cafe people

Shad, are there a lot of people around you that raise chickens? Are any other forms of poultry popular? Nice to have an avian vet in the area...hope you have a good time at the club today.

IM, glad to hear your mom's not feeling that injury. My dad had to take blood thinners the last several years of his life. The first time I saw him get a small nick, it was alarming to see what happened (I was much more shook up than he was ).

Day off work for me today. Time to get serious about cleaning up, my son will be here later this week...don't want him wondering what sort of mess he's walked in on.

A chicken vet? We have no such specialist vet here. Lucky you.

He's not a chicken vet as such. He is the avian vet for a National Park. Most of the Parks have a vet on call. The staff at the rescue center bar one are volunteers. The team at Emporda are particularly good and look after all the wildlife that gets brought in by the park wardens.

Most people with a bit of land raise poultry here and have for generations. There is a high probability that any poultry that arrived in the USA came form Spain.
It's mostly chickens but quite a few people have geese as well.

He lives in NE Kansas, so quite a drive. He's in Cheyenne visiting my mom & nephew for a few days then will get here either Thursday or Friday

Awe, that's awesome! I love when family comes to visit. Minus the cleaning house part So far so good, here. Almost walking normally, again, after stepping on a nail Sunday morning I hope you have a lovely day, as well!
