Pick them and bring them inside. Unless temperature is really low they may be fine. I'll be picking all of the green tomatoes when I get prediction of a heavy frost. With luck I'll have tomatoes through Nov.

I'll take a a cup please. It's going to break my only two cups a day rule, but hey, rules are for breaking.
I'm celebrating really. Such a silly thing really.
The apartment to the main house has been let out for a week to a Dutch couple. They must be around my age I suppose.
They speak German rather than Dutch because of the region they live in so that's been the language of choice.
They were interested in my house so I showed them around. They also like the chickens so that's another plus point. I showed them some of my woodwork as well and went out for a walk over the ridge with them.
This evening as I'm about to head out to do the animals for the night, he came around and said they had cooked supper and had made me some. So, no cooking tonight.
Just taken it out of the oven and eaten it. Very nice it was to.

Sounds like a lovely day Shad! I'm glad you had such nice visitors to spend time with (and a good meal is just a bonus!)

If only you lived closer. I have so many heirloom tomatoes of many varieties that I can't give them all away. My go to lunch all summer long has been heirloom tomato BLT on Amish bread. Okay, I will go have another.

Sign me up for one of those sandwiches Sour, they sound delicious!

dinner made and consumed here they say we may have first frost in the morning so black plastic on the new brussle sprout starts from the cut stalks my Mustard new shoots and our big jalapeno plant

Coffee is made...........it took two attempts this morning...........gas ran out mid cook.
Some cloud here but mainly warm and sunny.
