Not quite as nice as upstate NY or New England but generally quite nice. This year leaves are dropping prior to turning because of the drouthy conditions. Hoping we will see some color.

I bet some years it's beautiful. That's one of the things I miss living out there. Most all trees are either Cottonwood (they turn brown) or pine which don't turn at all.

I need to move!

We're at our high for the day at 59* so not bad. Tomorrow isn't looking great...a predicted high of 47* and overnight lows of 24*.

But the good news is no snow here yet! Glad your snow is melting...there's plenty of time for that stuff yet.
Glad you're not getting it too bad! Yes, definitely plenty of time for snow. If it could wait til say...December, that'd be great.

Don't forget roasts! I pressure cook them and in a few hours they're super tender. Great for making shredded beef and pork. Whole chickens for soup too.

If you like artichokes they cook up super quick.
Also beets, whole turkey breast and etc too.

Treacle got it all wrong today. He went into Mel's maternity coop, while the chicks were eating and pecked one of the chicks, not hard, but enough for Mel to have a go. He then tried to fight with Mel. Cillin was in there like a shot and of course Treacle couldn't get out.
I had to pick one end of the maternity unit up to split them up. The pictures are after I had cleaned Treacle up. There was blood and snot everywhere.
However, tonight they all went off to roost together and when I looked in a while ago they were all snoozing.
