Lack of feathering is passed in a way similar to blue/black/splash. They have less feathering overall and the necks have varying degrees of nakedness. They're a good choice for my climate and I love that funky look

This is my favorite pullet. She has the least feathering of all my birds and I would LOVE to breed her with that barred guy!

These two little hellions went to jail for a few days for being rotten to the newbies. I'm pretty sure it's the white one trying to crow in the other room.

Tomorrow's high of 55 and low of 31 and our only heat source being the wood stove, I was motivated to get the stove ready.
I cleaned the chimney, removed and cleaned the catalytic combustor, replaced the gasket on the CC and replaced the most worn fire bricks and reoriented the remaining ones.
Now the inside of the stove looks like the bricks of many colors.

@sourland I haven't ever heard of the issue. The rooster will grab the feathers on the back of the head to mate.

There can be a few small injuries once in a while. I've only had one minor injury that required a bit of care, but the birds were inexperienced.

Hi folks. I got some cross pieces put on the side of the run I have been working on to get it ready to staple wire on. I also stapled the skirt on the third side, and painted the cross pieces. Our weather is supposed to improve soon, so looking forward to getting a lot done.
