Gladly. Thanks for asking. Here’s one I took while we were napping yesterday. Also one of him & the cat watching a movie last week. The cat ignores the other dogs, but she adores her Meaty.

We need rain to put out the fires. Something like 50 raging out of control across the state. It's been so dry our fire season has already started with a complete fire ban & extreme conditions. For the 1st time ever they are making fire breaks right across our island.

That is a gorgeous cat! Is he as huge as he looks?

Ruffles and Mel are getting ready to take their chicks back to the tribe coop to roost instead of their respective maternity units. Ruffles took her daughter who is now about two thirds the size of her mum (I don't name any chickens until they've been integrated into the tribe coop) to the bottom of the coop ramp tonight and then turned back. If her last home goings are anything to go by it will take at least three of these trial runs before Ruffles will try to encourage her daughter in.
Mel's chicks on the other hand are tiny and much younger than Ruffles's chick.
I'm not sure what will happen if they both decide to go for it on the same evening.
I've got a few difficult evenings ahead. Once they've gone back to the tribe coop for two or three nights that's been it in the past. But, in those early days the chick often make a bolt for what has been their home since hatch, or, which is a complete nightmare, go up a tree.

Shad, have you written an article about the co-parenting your hens have done? That would be interesting. (If you've already done it and I missed it, could I have a link?)

Yeah, she’s pretty big & lots of long hair. She likes to lay by my pillow or on the back of my chair & wrap that long, furry tail around my face & neck.

We have not had as many this year and hope we make it through the fire season without a big one this year.

Yeah, she’s pretty big & lots of long hair. She likes to lay by my pillow or on the back of my chair & wrap that long, furry tail around my face & neck.

Mine are ragdoll Xs & pretty large ~ but nothing like that! Lucky.

How many do you have Ribh?

I have 3, just every day ordinary spoiled cats (but I love my little buddies). And we have Mr. Kitty who has been living in our garage for the past year (don't know where that wild guy came from).
