BYC Café

:wootPlanning a roadtrip to Colorado next Spring with my mama. We're going to meet my cousin Marks ex-wife. She is really into genealogy and has a photo album that she's giving my mom of old family pics. I'm super excited to go! I think we'll be going to Denver, not sure yet.
That sounds like a great trip!

Good morning, Cafe.

Update on Ben. He is still dragging his front feet and has a somewhat unsteady gait. I think all legs are affected so if this is spinal cord impingement (which I am 99% certain it is) it's in the cervical region. And because he's suffered no traumatic injury, it's due to degenerative disc disease and a ruptured disc. I can only hope that the prednisone ultimately knocks the swelling down enough to relieve the symptoms. Surgery would cost about $8,000 dollars so that really isn't in the cards for me. And even if it was, what happens when the next disc ruptures? I'm at the "keep him comfortable" stage.
But if he starts to loose bladder and bowel control, I'll have to let him go. He made a huge mess yesterday all the way down the hall, through the kitchen and over to the deck door because he had to pee and didn't ask to go out soon enough. I think that just took him by surprise. He'll now be going out on potty breaks on Fuji's schedule.
I hope things get better!

It is amazing how much vet bills can get to now

I completely agree with you Shad. I hope some day people will get it right, but I lack faith in humanity to do the right thing.
California passed a right to die law but the Dr.s would not prescribe the dose. It is being contested currently.

Oregon has a law but it is not easy to get it there either

I think it's full moon. Know that I have had the urge for dancing.

Boys lost 11 to 6 but there was a bittersweet upside to the day. SIL's mother died on Thurs. and the family is gathering so our other two grand children were there. Speaking of terminal illnesses - we 'lost' her 6 months ago, but her body refused to give up until last week.
My condolences on both the game and the loss of the SIL's mother

Thanks, IM. It's getting there.

It's getting there faster than anything around here :gigat least in my backyard. I have such horrible soil. It's why I got chickens, they keep the weeds at bay and give lots of poop. The front yard is where we concentrated on improvements first. Speaking of which, I need to make an appointment to get the trees trimmed out there.

:eek:That looks beautiful!!! :love I'm sure only YOU can see that. It looks perfect to me.
Thanks, Roomy. Oh, you'd see it.
I still love the finished product. I've been walking on plywood scraps for 2 years. I love walking on this path instead.
