Pretty sad. Maybe that's why so many drivers have a problem matching the numbers on the speedometer with the numbers on the speed limit sign.

:lau

Could be.

Though I also do not follow those numbers.

He sounded like it.

My husband and his dad were both police reserve and his uncle was a cop. They expect the police in CA to start offering twinkies to test people for driving while stoned :gig

He definitely could have been!! Although don’t most jobs drug test? Haha

Idk about out there but at least around here they hire the most clueless kids. Ask them where anything is “uhhh idk sorry” often don’t offer to help look lol just “don’t know” or ask them about something they’re reading the package.. uhhh.. I coulda done that myself ha

Once watched a kid on his phone while moving carts. Stood there on it before he even grabbed them (which was bad cause he’s supposed to be working) but he also crossed the parking lot without looking, head in phone, multiple times too.

Sad to say it seems to be mostly males that are clueless like this.

Especially male teens ha

As long as you go at least the speed limit and don't drive like a maniac, I'm good. I speed girl, are you kidding :lau Get outta my way slow poke!

I don't go too fast for the conditions or drive like a wacko though.

Phew!! I thought you were saying you go the speed limit always/that everyone should :lau

I am the same way!! Slow down when necessary. I don’t think I drive like a maniac but my parents would probably disagree. :lau

I do probably drive way too fast though.

I don't drive so I never got pulled over or a traffic ticket. But some idgit from the next block - a teenager wanted to avoid some ice on the street. She felt she needed to cross over to the wrong side of the road to do so. I was walking on the lawns because no sidewalks out here. She went up on the lawn and hit my arm so hard it broke the mirror off her cadillac.

I chased her car half way down the street saying "You hit me. Pull over!" She didn't until I said "your mirror broke off." Then she leaped out of the car and was carrying on about the mirror. Turned out she was baby sitting for her boss and driving her bosses car. She had a baby in the child seat in the back.

She kept freaking out that she damaged the car. I kept freaking out that it was impossible not to see me- and she could have killed me. Told her to call the police. When the police man arrived he was all too friendly with her. Barely let me say anything. Turns out her mother (with several kids in the school system) was the Queen of PTA.

Girl asked if I wanted to go to the hospital and I said "If you are prepared to pay for it."
Cop didn't do anything to her no ticket, no warning, no anything. I should have walked to her mother's house and showed her how horrible my arm looked. She probably would have said I jumped out in front of the car and I was at fault.

When I got home I saw the extent of my injury - my arm was dark purple from just at the shoulder to down almost to my wrist. For weeks I was showing neighbors how bad it still looked. The mail lady said she wanted to barf. I probably would have too from the pain, but anger cancels out pain.

All I wanted was for the policeman to reprimand her in some fashion, and her to apologize. Of course that never happened. Well I found out small village justice wasn't any different than that of a big city. It all matters on who you know.

Ugh, grocery shopping. A loathsome chore. :tongue
Tried to find our lone missing calf again today. No luck, but saw a ton of elk:

Hard to tell from the picture but there were 150-200 head, two pairs of bulls fighting in the middle. Pretty fun to watch! Saw another bunch of about 50 and a muley with 3 babies.

Got both coops cleaned that needed it, even though the snow started and was traveling sideways. Had the kids over for pork roast, corn casserole and rolls:drool Twas tasty. Hope you all had a good Saturday!

Coffee, PLEASE ! 4 days down and one to go. Ran Will today, and he got 4th place - a well judged trial. Very poor rabbit supply and a lot of walking involved - legs are pretty tired, but I committed to going back tomorrow with Lily.

I think it's ketch up - that's what I just did. Okay, I brewed a fresh pot - have at it.
I hope Lily shows them how it's done.
