BYC Café

You remember what an overexcited dork I was about it... spying on the little family all day with the brooder cam and posting all those pictures. But I did get a few good ones. I still love the first greeting and the one with two of the chicks standing on Barb's feet with the rest of their bodies stuffed inside her belly feathers! The look on Barb's face was, "what are you looking at?"
It is exciting and touching. I still watch each hatch and have been seen running fro nest to nest so I don't miss anything when I've had more than one broody hatching. Believe me, I don't run often.:p

Thanks, Roomy!
I'll get my head around it soon enough. Coffee will help.

What you're going through is completely normal. :hugs These things take some time. Allow yourself to wallow in it & definitely take some time to indulge in something & be good to yourself. (You're paleo, right? So indulging brownies are probably out, but maybe a new plant, or a dish, or new shoes... anything to treat yourself. :hugs)

I painted my toe nails! Does that count? Okay. Probably not!
I think DH and I will go see a movie. We haven't gone out to see a movie in years.

This sounds like something I would do, you're not alone.

It DOES count.:thumbsup I was having an adult meltdown yesterday. I took a moment to lock myself in my room & painted mine. It was long over due & made me feel loads better. Its the small things. :wee

I agree! I've been through this more than once but this is the longest I've been at one career and I've made lots of friends here. I'll miss them.
We have plans to try to stay in contact but the reality is we will slowly drift apart. That's just what happens.

I've been away from that job for over 9 years (and moved out of that state so never run into them) but just early this morning I dreamed that a bunch of us were having a 4th of July party. Now I don't know if that was because I've missed some of those people or if it's just so Freaking cold here summer sounds good. But I got to 'see' my old friends again. It was a great party too!

A graphical representation of the end of my career as a precious metal surface finishes manufacturing engineer. The line is completely emptied out. Time to move on...
Sorry, DL. Sounds pretty disheartening. Big hugs and onto better things :hugs

There is snow. Inside the house. :rant
