BYC Café

Good morning cafe. It has been hectic here but starting to mellow out a bit. Haven't had time to get caught up but Dobie I hope you settle in at the new job ok.

I had to put my older dog down, she was loosing weight after gaining a pound back despite increased food. The next day Igor tore a tendon in his ankle while we were walking the pups and I had to go get him in the car. He's been off a couple weeks and goes to see a surgeon Wednesday. I now do pretty much everything myself but I'm finally starting to get into the swing of it all. If it was just me I wouldn't bother to cook though.

In the midst of that I did get the chicks that hatched in August moved to the big coop with the big girls and the chicks that hatched last month are brooding outside. The cool season garden is growing well, rabbit poop is great stuff!

Have a great day all.
:hugs Sorry about your dog, IM. It's tough to lose them regardless of how old they are.
The job sucks but I'll turn it around in due time. I'm grateful to have it and will put my all into making it better.
I hear ya on the 'doing everything' issue. The worse DH gets the more I take on. I also would forego a lot of meal prep if it were just me.

Do you do that stripping to music? :lau

You are on a roll today Cap...first my flip flops and now Shad's dis-robing.

Morning! Thank you, Veterans!
Cold and frosty and sunny here. Time for chores!

Morning Margie!

That's a whole lot of life happening there IM! :hugs

Your Igor wasn't having a go at that barefoot walking at the time was he?:D
How long had you had the elder dog for IM?

About 12 years. Rescued her before she went to the pound.

yup, my dogs are like my kids. Better in many ways, they listen better and don't talk back as much.

I'm sure you can handle it!

They say low of 11F and 3 inches of snow.
DS# lost a friend and classmate from HS last night. Typical story, alcohol and speeding, ran a red light and got T-boned. The others in the car are in the hospital with serious injuries. You would think they wouldn't all have to learn the hard way... very sad for that family. The young man was with DS#'s friend during HS when they flipped a truck. He was okay in that one but the driver was the one, now in a chair that DS# was taking care of and still does on occasion. :barnie

That is such a hard lesson for the kids and heartbreaking for the boys family. I'm sorry to read this Margie.
