BYC Café

One day I was trimming hooves on one of my goats. Suddenly she jerked her leg and the shears ripped my leg open! I continued until I finished her hooves( don't let her get away with it) . My neighbor showed up and was horrified to see the blood running down my leg. I went into the house and sewed myself up. Just couldn't see wasting the day in the ER. I think my neighbor almost passed out.
Your own stitches?? Cap, you're my hero :D
Car repair business is booming. On the thirteen mile drive to Cracker Barrel I counted 8 road killed deer. In my driving 'career' I have hit 3 deer - one was a kill, and the other two ran off. I have to wonder how many more than the 8 were hit and ran off.
19 years of driving and the closest I've gotten to hitting a deer was a couple weeks ago. You could see where the hair brushed the mud on my bumper:thI've only ever hit one thing and that was a tweety bird. Well, aside from other vehicles:lau Or the motionless trampoline in my barn that had been there forever and ever:idunno

No way could I ever sew myself up!!

I've been teaching mel's chicks not to cross the raised black line I have on the floor between my bedroom and the rest of the house.
I used to have a small amperage electric current running through a wire under the tape; not enough to shock, but enough to detect.
None of the adults cross this line (well very very rarely) and the chicks naturally watch were the adults go.
O must admit, I feel a bit of a fool pointing to the line and telling the chicks they are not allowed to cross it, explaining that that is my perch space having steered them to the permitted side.
The strangest thing is it seems to be working.:lol:

Wow I do bow to you Shad :bowI feel good when I do not have to pin a cockerel
of a given day... Morning cafe thanks for the coffee I had my old ID that had expired so did not have to prove the white haired old lady is me.. I have taped or superglued myself together Cap but bet I would stop at sewing unless I had the catgut to do it.

Morning everyone!

We were supposed to get rain yesterday but ended up with snow instead. Thankfully, it doesn't appear to have stuck around.

Thanks for the coffee Shad! Pass me a taco please Sean!

I understand what drives the paper trail but mostly what bothered me was the pompous attitude of the DMV employee. When I told her it was easier to get my social security card replaced with my new married name, she puffed up and informed me "the government counts on us to keep the country safe". Whatever :smack

Here, you need one of these

I got my post holes dug. 900mm x 400mm x 400mm. I laid out 4 corner posts last week and today only three left.
All the chicks are going home with the tribes now so life at dusk is a lot easier.
The three witches seem to have come to an arrangement; one goes in with the chicks while the other two head up the magnolia tree.
