BYC Café

"How's your morning been then Shadrach" someone may ask.
"I'll show you."
It was Sunday yesterday. The main house occupants were home. As is their wont on some Sundays, they like to go outside weather permitting and do a bit of playing smallholders.
This is the result. The object was to take down a dead fig tree I believe. I did mention that it needed to come down in stages so as not to damage the trees around it and of course the fence and I would take care of it later this winter.
That was a perfectly healthy pomegranate tree lying in bits on the bottom of the bank. Also under the pile one recently transplanted fruiting olive tree.
They got bored and went down to the village for supper.
I'm sorting the mess out.

Naturally on such occasions I seek solace with the more intelligent residents here.
The three witches (Nolia, Hinge and Bracket) and the two chicks and Punch and Mag actuallly doing what roosters should for a change.

Of equal intelligence but rather more demanding Mel's three chicks. Two of these are the pair the couple mentioned in an earlier post are interested in.
The rapt attention is because I've got a walnut in my hand.

It is good that you are there to clean up after them!

Well, that's ricidulous. How maddening!
Love to see the pretty birds, though!
Morning Cafe

Chilly, 43°F, ground fog, no wind! Expected high in the mid 70's. Love mornings like this with ground fog in the valleys! :love

Everyone make it a great day! :celebrate
Sweet picture, Sean! I bet that's amazing in person.

And a late good morning, all!

Turns out it is an abscess and it's in the gum. Unfortunately (or fortunately??), I've been referred to an oral surgeon due to the close proximity of the tooth (wisdom) and the nerve. Also, the roots of the tooth are shaped like a fishhook, with a fun little curl in the end :p

Funny coincidence, my father in law just had this exact problem! Same tooth, same side, same dentist and surgeon, just a few days earlier than me. The dentist asked how we'd managed to plan that, haha. He still had 3 wisdom teeth left at 67. I've only got two left.

Maybe you and your FIL can get a family discount on the dental work Meg

(Poor girl, that does sound like it's got to be sore.)

Not a dentist fan.:(
Fixed the fence.
Got a piece of telegraph pole to replace the missing post. Enough for two posts.
Cleaned the fridge.
Cleared the blockage in the gray water system.
Cleaned two coops.
Shelled some almonds. They are very tasty.:)
Usual animal chores.
Floor swept and mopped.
I even made a rather nice vegetable curry..

Lordy, that would be nice! I don't have dental insurance and I'm not looking forward to this one...Hoping they'll get me in right away, cuz it sure is sore :fl Doesn't bode well for thanksgiving dinner, however
