Good morning, Debby! Thanks for the coffee!A late good morning Cafe folks. There's a fresh pot of coffee ready to go for whoever wants some!
This is very true!
Ron, people no longer speak as they used to. Definitions have changed according to whoever and words have been blended to mean the same thing. I'm told layed is an old form of laid. Old form, or folks didn't know how to spell? Was the misspelling so common place it was changed later to accomodate? I think the same happens with definitions. I don't like it...words have meaning and changing that definition because people don't use it properly annoys me.
Disclosure here: I'm not saying ANYONE in this thread isn't capable of spelling or defining words. This post is about me and my annoyance that word definitions change and I feel they shouldn't. Don't feel hurt about it.
It does sound like the future is un certain for you!Unfortunately it may not be possible. Atm the UK is in the EU. If the UK gets taken out of the EU by the current retards we have running the UK then I lose the right to live here. For some people with sufficient funds this shouldn't be a problem but in another year I will be at retirement age and eligible for a UK state pension. There are doubts that the UK will honor it's previous agreement to pay pensions to UK subjects living abroad.
Next there is a question of how the Spanish will react to the UK leaving the EU. They may, and it's a perfectly reasonable demand, require UK subjects to adopt Spanish nationality. No one knows what the criteria will be to get Spanish nationality. My house, which is rather unusual in build and circumstance can not be transfered to another owner so I can't sell it.
I put everything I had into the house so it's not like I have the funds to start again. So, it's not a question of wanting to move. It's more a question of whether it will be possible to stay. It's one of the penalties of electing crooks, clowns and public schoolboys to government.

Good morning, Debby! Thanks for the coffee!
And a good morning to the rest of the café![]()
Very pretty décor!I got a chance to put up some decorations at our house. We go to my parents for the holidays so we really don't put up a tree or anything here.
We do go on the tacky light tour though in Richmond. We all buy some Starbucks and drink it in the car while we look at lights.

Thanks for the fresh pot, Debby. I'll have a cup.
Still waiting for the garage to call me that my car is ready for pick up so I can get up to Penn Yan.
I reached a rep at the Humane Society that has the Dobie I applied to adopt. She told me there has been a lot of interest in him and they've decided to collect and review all the applications for him and the Board will meet to decide on the best fit. The lady also told me she would have him cat tested to see how he reacts and if he does well, she promised she'd move my application to the top of the pile! I then emailed a bunch of great pictures of my past Dobies to prove I've had lots of experience with the breed. Fingers crossed!![]()
