Ooh, can't wait to see it! It already sounds like it'll be very pretty. I bet the combination of stains will look amazing.

I saw a table that was stained with chess/checkers squares that I thought would be awesome.

I haven't stripped paint before, but have heard it can be a real bear :he

Flat surfaces are fairly easy, it's the legs that have been the most challenging, and some carving that was done on the sides. I'll get a pic of its current state tomorrow.

@DobieLover - he's a beauty. What's his story ?
Owners bought him as a pup at 7 weeks. Husband was working from home. Don't know wife's story but now husband is gone nearly all week, home on Sundays and wife is starting a full time job in January. They also have three kids aged 10-15.
They say this dog has fear issues. From their description he is insecure. I don't think he gets run hard the way a Doberman needs. They don't thrive on leash walking. They need speed.
I also take my dogs everywhere a dog can go so they are very highly socialized and not afraid of anything because they are exposed to so much. If this guy is a fit, he'll be slowing eased into that kind of thing to build his confidence. Skittles and Fuji will actually be a big help in that department.

Oh my goodness, he's beautiful!! :love
He plays really well with their little dog. I would hope that he and Skittles would play together.
Fuji plays with no one and nothing! Her thoughts on other dogs are "I will sniff you, you may sniff me, stay the hell away from my food or I will kill you!"

She really is, Shad! I swear she understands almost everything and is great at working cows without being too aggressive. Gathering cows a couple months ago, she learned to ride on the motorcycle so she didn't wear herself out. The one "dumb" thing she does is chases barn kitties, which drives me up a wall!

Wow smart dog!!!! i love heelers. They are a great breed. Think they might be a bit intense for me though haha I’m considering a Golden, Aussie, or Border Collie next. Or a Lab or English Shepherd haha love the retrievers (and sporting breeds in general) and the herding breeds :love

Thanks, Nancy! Yes, that's my Chickie buns. She's a blue heeler.View attachment 1982447

Here's a couple more, cuz if I can find an excuse to share, I will :D

Both lovely dogs, it was nice to see them!

This is what he looks like. He is about the size Dylan was, 75 pounds. I also have a video of him playing with the current owners Maltese.

Too funny. Is she older? Sounds like a cranky old lady:lol: Our lab had no interest in other dogs though, either. He was strictly a people person.

Gorgeous dogs. :loveE]
Thanks! It definitely depends on the dog. Every heeler I've met had been far more calm than the others you mentioned.

That makes sense! They definitely seem like they’re a bit less hyper than the others haha but I’ve heard they can be somewhat dominant and stubborn and challenging in that way?
