Nothing the vet could do for Thistle.
I'm going to have a cup of coffee and have another search for the chick. I'm quite hopeful she's alive. The dog didn't have time to kill Ruffles and the chick.
It's often easier to find them in the dark because the torch light shines through the Thyme and Rosemary bushes. In the daylight you can't see into them very well.

Put her next to mum on the roost. Seems fine. She's a chatty little creature.
Going to start looking for this women in the morning. Last of I saw of her she was running up the track with her dogs crying. I'm going to show her something to cry about.

Thanks for the good wishes people.
Such a shame about Ruffles. She would have been 9 in March.
I really feel for Fat Bird. She and Ruffles have been mates for over 8 years.
Cillin will notice her absence. Nobody groomed him like Ruffles.
She had a wonderful life. She got further than most.
