BYC Café

Someday I'll make it a point to do so :) I've seen pictures. Looks amazing.
We've got at least 2 spare bedrooms. 3 when DD1 is off at school. ;) BYC friends are welcome to make reservations.

Sorry if I bombard you all with "ma" stuff, the holidays are a bit of a bummer, but also just trying to keep her around in a way.
How long has she been gone Meg? It does take time before it is less raw but there is no reason to ever forget.

Apparently so. In it's defense I will mention that violent crime is very rare.
Given a choice, I would rather lose my wallet than get shot or stabbed or beaten up; you still lose your wallet.
True. I lost a pair of sunglasses there at a flea market. I'm sure the perpetrator will find prescription glasses with prisms in both lenses quite useful.

I could have lost my camera out of my backpack on La Rambla had the signal not changed. I am quite sure I didn't have it mostly unzipped after leaving the bank.

And, sadly, one member of our party had her wallet taken out of her purse at the Picasso museum while waiting in line to buy tickets for the group. Also met some German students at La Sagrada Familia whose backpacks had been stolen on the beach. "Standard" ruse with one person chatting them up from the front while the partner silently picked up the goods behind them.

Not to say that Barcelona isn't a fascinating city, just that one should take great care that their valuables are unattainable by criminals.

Well, thank ya kindly! I will keep that in mind :)

She passed away June 1st this year of pancreatic cancer. She made it home a few days before that, so we were lucky enough to spend her last days with her. I'll always be grateful for that.

Good morning, all. We've got our first! A Christmas Eve miracle of life :yesss:

:wee
I've got someone interested is seeing Sarge the day after Christmas. They want a rooster for their flock. The little guy is getting more confident by the day. He and his father were crowing a duet this morning... if it's considered crowing that Sarge is doing. It's a sad, sad noise!
This couple had a rooster before that was attacking the wife and daughter but not the husband. Sarge is still very respectful of me, eats gently from my hand and hasn't so much as tried to herd me.

Miss that allot Meg use to sleep in the barn waiting for calving :frow
Well, I'll be sure to share baby pictures with you, Penny :) Our house is in the barn so the view out my kitchen window is the calving pens. Unfortunately, can't see much because we put plywood around them so they can't see the dogs walking by.
