I feel like this is the most awkward winter I've seen since moving to VA 7 years ago. It's going to be almost 70 in a few days!

It was 65° here today, and sunny. The trees will be breaking out in foliage soon!

My heart aches for you & Gedit Shad! People really suck sometimes! I pretty far behind.... I hope to read they’re leaving soon & didn’t damage anyone or anything else.

Good evening everyone. Took a few to catch up. Didn't get home until the wee hours after Christmas Eve, spent half the day at the in laws Christmas day. The twice baked potatoes were no joke. Could've had that just for dinner.

Started on some new roosts today because I've got to move my little chickies. There's an alleyway that leads into the barn, into a box stall and then into the rest of the jugs. The chicks are currently housed in the stall and as you know, we have started calving. Cows have to go through the stall to get to the jugs This is completely my fault. Should've had them moved a while ago. Well... Probably shouldn't have put them there in the first place.

Weather is supposed to be fairly good the next week or so!

I hope not because January is always the coldest month. It was the same to here I think. I even think I saw bugs flying around all confused thinking it's spring. The chickens were all sunbathing.

Our cold house woke me up extra early. Apparently someone who shall remain nameless (DH) left the porch door cracked open and it's 6* this morning.

We lucked out on that score, there wasn't any wind blowing during the night

I made a fresh pot of coffee if you'd like a cup to shake off the cobwebs.

That should have read roast potatoes. I made lots. Me and my brother and the chickens ate lots.
I must have made more then I though.
