I wonder if you'd be better off putting a washer behind that screw? They might want to tear out after much use.

That's an extraordinary looking comb!I haven't seen anything like that before.

I use tubs with the front cut out girls tend to like privacy and no screwing plywood in between upper has a landing pad plywood sticks out better I do paint any wood that goes in

Have never seen a comb that size either

Sometimes normal looking doesn't cut it.
Tbh, I've got some real nutters here. Most are mixed breeds now; but that doesn't make me care any less. Often it's the complete oddballs, or the very hard work ones that need the most looking after and therefor one has the most contact with them.

I'll keep an eye on them. My chickens never go in the coop unless it's night time or to lay an egg.

None sleep in or on the eating boxes either.

My chickens are well behaved

Apparently they think bigger IS better.
