BYC Café

I would love to have the full tour of the construction Meg, but I understand it's your home.
It looks really interesting and there are so many things about it I would like to know.
If your husband designed and built it you have a far sighted and imaginative man on your hands. I would love to talk to him.
He's a dreamer for sure. Different than your average dreamer in that when everyone tells him he can't, he does it anyway and it's always amazing. I will talk to him about it. He, unlike some (me), is a big people person! :p

Hello cafe. I hope you're all having a great day!

@DobieLover I'm following up to tell you how my experience was with slaughtering a rooster today.

My husband uses a filet knife and I asked him to tell me how hard I had to push while slicing. He said to imagine cutting through our commercial grade garden hose and he was right. I haven't got a lot of strength in my hands due to arthritis, but I could see the veins in the neck and was able to cut through the artery. There wasn't any struggling from the bird. I had his head in one hand and stretched out the neck, then sliced. I was disappointed that I couldnt cut the head off, but with practice I might be able to.

I hope that explains it sufficiently. Have a great day!

Thanks for sharing. I agree that anyone who eats meat should experience taking the life that was sacrificed. Maybe later this year I'll try.

I bet you'll remember next time Dobie! :gig

No, I most certainly will not forget! That bathroom looks right across the store to the pro desk. I'd have been the talk of the town if she'd succeeded!

It stopped here for a while. Was able to clean out all the coops. I pull all the straw out every week and put in fresh. Then usually spot clean in between. But all this rain has made that difficult!!!
Oh, how I love coop!!:love
I haven't cleaned the entire coop or since the birds were moved in last Easter. I just scoop the poop boards clean every morning.

Is there anything cuter than a calf? I love cows! Have always wanted one, but DH says no to "pet" cows.
Then I have a really good picture for you!
