That might make for a bit of "fragrance".And as I understand it, the crofts did smell bad, but perhaps that was because they also didn't have much wood in Iceland, so they burned the cow dung for heat.![]()
He's a dreamer for sure. Different than your average dreamer in that when everyone tells him he can't, he does it anyway and it's always amazing. I will talk to him about it. He, unlike some (me), is a big people person!I would love to have the full tour of the construction Meg, but I understand it's your home.
It looks really interesting and there are so many things about it I would like to know.
If your husband designed and built it you have a far sighted and imaginative man on your hands. I would love to talk to him.
Hello cafe. I hope you're all having a great day!
@DobieLover I'm following up to tell you how my experience was with slaughtering a rooster today.
My husband uses a filet knife and I asked him to tell me how hard I had to push while slicing. He said to imagine cutting through our commercial grade garden hose and he was right. I haven't got a lot of strength in my hands due to arthritis, but I could see the veins in the neck and was able to cut through the artery. There wasn't any struggling from the bird. I had his head in one hand and stretched out the neck, then sliced. I was disappointed that I couldnt cut the head off, but with practice I might be able to.
I hope that explains it sufficiently. Have a great day!
I bet you'll remember next time Dobie!![]()
Oh, how I love coop!!It stopped here for a while. Was able to clean out all the coops. I pull all the straw out every week and put in fresh. Then usually spot clean in between. But all this rain has made that difficult!!!
Oh my goodness!!OMG!!
I must remember that she can open lever style doors when I'm using the facilities in a store!!!! She nearly embarrassed me to the point that I would never be caught dead in the True Value again.
Then I have a really good picture for you!Is there anything cuter than a calf? I love cows! Have always wanted one, but DH says no to "pet" cows.
