Is that abnormal for you? I don't normally have so many molt quite that hard. Everyone's either got their feathers back or almost, now.

Yes , this moult has been really spread out. I do have 3 year old, 2 year old , and year old chickens as well as some youngsters. So perhaps that is a factor.

I know this won't sound funny to some people, but it was very funny to my family...

One day I decided to take a nap because I was a bit tired because I was having a flare-up. I didn't answer my phone calls or my text I guess So my father called my husband at his work to tell him that I was not answering the phone... My husband starts calling me and I don't answer the phone still so he leaves work because he thinks that I am dead... I am not even lying.

He busted through the front door and screamed my name, I woke up wondering what the heck was going on.

Honestly, I don't know. I'm sure you remember our deal...but my husband said last night "It's not like we have to get rid of him." Softy I guess time will tell. It would be nice for Chewy to have a friend that looks like her. I'm sure they'd always be together.

Wish we could vote on him staying or going...I'd vote STAY! He could be the 1st of an entire herd of Highlands for you

They turned out pretty Meg! Faraday and others make a lot of things out their feathers, the cards you mentioned, hair pieces, floral arrangement accents, earrings, decorate styrofoam pieces for Christmas ornaments, etc. I think it was Faraday that mentioned donating a bunch of them to a preschool for crafts too, that was a fun idea.

Maybe I can make nice crafts with them and sell them along with some chicks I have. They don't start till March so I have along time to decide what I'm doing.

Some of these feathers are from her birds & some she bought, but she made all of the dreamcatchers. So proud of that kid!
