Toast is good!

Yeah! I wasn’t gonna eat anything cause it was so late but I didn’t wanna like pass out or something in the night. :lau

And toast was fast.

Made one piece with butter and one with peanut butter so I could have the taste (love warm buttered toast :love :drool ) and the protein/not be hungry. :lau of course jelly on both. :lau :hide

And some pizzelle cookies. :lau

Of course now I have to stay up a while. :lau

I forgot to eat earlier then got distracted by my phone a while. :lau

Should have just gone to bed but didn’t think not eating so long would be good :lau

When it's hard to sleep, I sneak out and check the coop. When I see all is well, I find peace of mind, and fall asleep much easier.:th
I do the same but it is depressing when all isn't good.
There always seems to be a surprise in seven buildings.

Now I want fries!

Their fries are good for about 10 minutes and then they go weird! What do they do to them?
It's the additives in the oil they use to cook them. Something along the lines of "healthier"

Do all your chickens sleep in coops @ChickenCanoe ?
I have 5 active coops to check atm. There is always something that needs doing.
Things have gone a bit wrong with the latest hatchings. The weather is so grim the mums can't get the chicks out. Mum and chicks are normally out and about on day two or three.

Good morning Cafe.......well actually it isn't. It's a filthy day. Howling winds, cold and wet stuff hammering out of the sky at every angle below horizontal.
Coffee is made.
Off to do the rounds in a bit.
There was some reluctance to leave the coops this morning. The pullets and cockerels who are still growing and burning their calorie intake comparatively quickly were out first looking for food. Everybody else followed looking unenthusiastic and headed for the nearest shelter. Tribe 1 is in the sheep shed and under the hay rack, Tribe 2 are hanging around under the coops and Tribe 3 are in the car port. I've got one in the house nest box who doesn't look keen on going back out.
