Well, here we are a few hours later with no school until the 30th at least. I don't mind because we have a huge "backyard" to work and play in. I am glad for the time with my DS$!

I have heard of some with mountain lions in the area taking a shot gun out with them. A stick might not be enough to ward them off

Mountain lions take a shotgun out with them? Yikes!

thanks DL - I'm up! And found a clump of hen pheasant feathers on the lawn this morning; the roos need to work today!

It looks so lush and green! We have snowflakes and fog and coldish. All wrestling canceled. All non-classroom events canceled like prom and sports. I bet school gets canceled next week. The sheep shearer is still coming on Sat. I hope!

It does look lovely at the moment. There has been a lot of variation in the weather since I've been here but if we get a hot summer what you see now will look like the edges of the Sahara desert by July. Last year was a mild summer, the year before up in the high thirties and for some days above forty.
It was strom Gloria that blew through here a few weeks ago that dumped 4 months worth of rain in 3 days that has given the lush green look now.
