@DobieLover I have generally found Cuomo to be a bit abrasive for my taste, and have tended to tune him out. Today on CNN he came across as extremely rational , logical, and intelligent. What's your take on him? Hopefully this does not fall under 'politics'.

I don't watch TV. I don't have it. I try to avoid politics so I have no opinion of the man.
I did just watch a news clip of him and he did seem logical to me.

We do what we have to do, and that includes reality checks. My daughter decided that last week was a good time to go on a cruise to the Caribbean. Pretty safe, but who knows about the ship personnel ? So far they have been refused entry to Puerto Rico and are heading for Fort Lauderdale where hopefully they can get off the ship, rent a car, and head for home. Never been able to tell that one a thing.

Some kids need the parent's school of hard knocks so they don't have to experience the world's school of hard knocks...some go to the later regardless. I had to push both mine out of the nest and both were not happy about it, but 20 years later they are stable adults with families of their own and were thankful for the lessons. Hang in there!

My reply would definitely fall under politics, lets suffice to say I don't trust him.

I am delighted to see UK politicians NOT doing this; I think they're exhausted party-political-wise from the 3 years of Brexit stalemate and there's little real opposition since the last election. I also think Boris is doing OK, rather surprisingly. If only the media (inc the BBC) would stop s**t-stirring we'd get through this better.

I'm not a fan of Boris but he has at least managed not say anything really stupid on the matter. I think someone in the background might have had a word in his ear, something like "just read the script Boris. Don't try and think, or make any funny comments."

It's funny how the panic begets panic. Not funny haha, but just odd to watch. I tried to find nuts in the shell and couldn't find any, only shelled stuff. Good luck on your shopping excursion!

Well, I have gone and done it. I kicked my 20 something DS# to the curb. He was going to move out at the end of the month anyway but he spent the last weekend with friends that had flown in from Reno and now CO is really exploding in virus, especially in the high country, so I told him that he was not coming back into the house. We have a camper at the ranch where he is working so he will live there. I have his stuff gathered and will put it out by the driveway... He was pretty speechless but I had warned him last week about being careful. Oh well. I have other people to take care of. Sigh

There is one member of the main house who flatly refuses to adhere to any of the advice given by the government, or anyone around them. They went out today to see some friends.
I believe that the area I live in is in the high risk bracket mainly because it is wealthy and International travel is common. Lots of people here go skiing in the winter to the Italain alps for example. Many more travel for work. It's an easy comute to Barcelona here which has high density population which tend to make contagion more likely purely because statically you will come into contact with more people.
I think the divide between those who are prepared to take containment seriously and can cope with it and those who aren't/can't is going to result in some domestic fallout.
I can avoid this person easily but we do share common spaces even if we aren't both present at the same time.

I know! Walnuts, specifically I don't care for the shelled ones as much. I guess beggars can't be choosers at this point, but I chose no-nuts Oh wait, I did buy some shelled cashews!

See, that's the problem. People who do not take the travel restrictions seriously are inevitably going hurt those around them. I had a guy come this morning who just returned from Vegas. A good portion of flights from/to Montana go through Seattle. If it takes 2-14 days to show symptoms, so many can be affected by one.

Using Seattle as an example since it is a hot spot. But it's already everywhere, anyway.

Oh yeah, cruise ships are big petri dishes! You can catch almost anything there.
