BYC Café

The owners original claim to fame are local car dealership owners. They are known for buying companies, squeezing them dry then dumping them.
In other words they trained with Vulture Capitalists.

Now, aren't you glad you asked!?
Very! Quite interesting. The IBM plant I worked at was 8,000 employees (not including contractors, cleaning people, etc) at the peak. About 2,000 after all the downsizing at the chip plants so that Global Foundaries would take them and $2B.

I'm tired of picking up the bare branches it throws down and all the pine cones :idunno
Interesting that an almost dead tree is still putting out cones. I guess it is really hoping to live on through its progeny.

Oh, wait! It is the Solstice.
It's all downhill from here, less light every day. Except in the southern hemisphere, they get more light :D

indeed; thankfully!

do you have any suspects? our daughter was once made very ill with campylobacter that had infected raspberries on an ice-cream; turned out (the local authorities investigated) that the ice-cream parlour had not been keeping the frozen raspberries properly...

congratulations! :clap

good luck!
Thanks Perris, I did great. Had 2 different people wanting my rooster and the same with the Leghorn pullets I had.

Done dealing with people and towns. The only bright side is a couple of the homeless are back on the streets. Spent a while chatting to one. Apparently many were more, or less forced into dormitories which of course, given the appaling state discovered in many of the old peoples homes and the rapid spread of Covid in such places, wasn't a safe feeling place. A few 'escaped' and a couple are now in prison.:(
I bought some food for both. I know with one if they've got cash money they'll get pissed.
Another interesting thing that not many will have thought about is the prostitutes. No street, no trade. There were a couple in their usual spots on the C35 when I drove by.
That's the good news.:) The not so good is it's pissing down again with thunder and lighting going full tilt on the ridge. Spectacular no doubt but I'm bored with wet trousers.
