Wall ties
IMG_20200712_121800677.jpg

The floppy wall is now solid and ready to drywall. I'm struggling bad trying to get the others in plane.
I'm going to help the problem by down sizing my wall tile and probably floating the walls.

Me too never heard of floating wall
I assume you mean by floating, your going to plaster them?
What are you going to cover the stud work with?
The wall construction will be moisture resistant drywall (blue or green board) with Kerdi membrane over it attached with a thin layer of unmodified thinset.
To make the wall flat you apply a layer of heavier thinset over the Kerdi and screed it to planarize it. I will use a modified thinset for good adhesion. You need a large screed to go over the wall to make it flat. I have a 3' cement trowel I will use. The only wall I think that will need this is the right wall as looking into the room. But I'm no pro so I know it won't be perfect, just good enough to get the tile set.
I am still using 18x18 format on the floor because I am using SLU (self leveling underlayment) on the floor. I'll use 12x12 on the walls in a brick pattern with a mosaic strip in the shower stall.

You may be able to pack out the stud work to help get the drywall sections reasonably flat. This can save a lot of messing about with a screed. Also, if you are fixing tiles, unless you are Italian that is, some variation in plane isn't really that noticeable and the tile adhesive can be used to pack out a millimeter or so here and there.
If you are doing a complete wall of any size then I recommend investing in a plastering float, assuming your trowel is what I call a trowel.

PS. Don't forget to fix your first line of tiles just short of two tiles high from the floor!
