BYC Café

don't usually have problems with the sitting hens until after they've left the nest. I carefully slide my hand under the front of the hen keeping the hand low at all times, and gently lift here a couple of inches, enough to check the number of broken shells.
Same here. I 'make friends' with them from the get go so I can check.
Even worked with a skin twister.

Good evening Cafe.
I've made a jug of hot chocolate if anyone is interested.
I'm slowly drying out. Had a couple of storms here today and of course they always hit max performance level at chicken bed time.:he
Seems to be the pattern here. Hot mornings and mid afternoon the storms roll in. It does make getting some sleep a lot easier as aart mentions earlier. It's a lot more comfortable at 22C than it is at 28C.
Thanks for the Hot Chocolate!

That would be Mom's new deck? Doesn't that cat know you don't have time to foster her babies?
Yes. Mom's 'new' deck. That board is off because I was examining the joists to make sure they were still structurally sound before buying the new deck boards.
She's back.
