Wow, finally after that long! That's got to be awesomeGood morning Cafe.
Thanks for the coffee Shad.
Nice here; blue skies, little puffy white clouds drifting by, not too hot, in fact just right for a spot of work in the garden. I notice the mulberry has quite a lot of developing fruit; just hope it gets to ripeness this year! I've been waiting 20 years for that tree to fruit!![]()
Well, can't really claim the credit because for 18 years I was too busy to bother about it. Last year I almost chopped it down to make room for something that would fruit, and it must have heard me because it produced half dozen fruits - but they dropped before maturity, and this year I gave it another chance. There are a lot more young fruits, but they're not ripe yet ...20 years! You sure are patient!
They are worth waiting for. I've only ever had some from a very old tree on someone else's property; never seen them in a shop - apparently they are a nightmare to try to pack and transport, with no storage qualities at all. But eaten off the tree - scrumptious! And they don't taste like anything else, so I can't describe it.Wow, finally after that long! That's got to be awesome![]()
That is very interesting. I'd love to see a picture of it and the fruits! I love fruit trees, probably because we can grow so few here. I know how I feel about them fruiting every year. I can't imagine waiting 20!Well, can't really claim the credit because for 18 years I was too busy to bother about it. Sounds like Paw paws, they are hard to ship too. We have hundreds of young trees here. Personally, I don't care for them. But the wild animals do. Especially the bears and coons.Well, can't really claim the credit because for 18 years I was too busy to bother about it.
