BYC Café

People are wearing masks out here. When we travel on the senior bus, the driver takes our temps before we can get on. I don't mind wearing a mask, I am just forgetful. Sometimes I have one dangling around my neck and realize I need to put it on.

It's more of a problem getting the seniors to use the seat belts. We had one (The Princess) who would pretend to have one on and click it - so it sounded right. Then you'd see it was near her but not ON HER!!
At least the seat belt off only endangers her life! Masks off can infect a lot of people

Thanks for the coffee! Enjoy the day everyone!
DD, I don't live in a place where I need to have a mask at all times, so I also forget what I am doing with it or where I stuffed it last or ... It is still a foreign piece of clothing to me.
Now my hat, shades, and boots are a different story along with my coffee cup!
If everyone everywhere wore a mask in public, transmission rates go down 60% according to a new study. The virus is sneaky and very infectious. Other countries are doing much better than we are because they wear masks and wash their hands. It is quite simple to do

I too struggle to remember a mask when going out though

Had you already decided on a price? When
The house, as it stands, is not mortgagable. I have to get the main floor finished, the lower level heat zone installed, the porch repaired and the deck rebuilt.
The husband is willing to help with this work. So an appraisal at this point would undermine all the work I've already done. Once these things are finished, we can get the appraisal.
Every time I bought a house to flip I would run the numbers against the comps and nailed the sale price within $2,000.
Dad's house finished is worth at least $210,000.
I'll have to make a list of what's already been put into it to repair and upgrade it vs. it's 2012 appraised value and go from there to get a ball park idea.

Good afternoon Cafe.
Made a pot of green tea if anyone is interested. Some of our own honey to go with it.
Trying to get things done. Had to go to town today to the courier. There's a temp guage in the shade on the town hall wall. It read 42C.
Most people wearing masks in town but some seem to think that if they're wearing a mask they can get as close to you as they like. I had to put a couple of people right on this today.
Those who might know believe if things carry on as they are, that we will have food shortages early winter. Some crops are just not getting harvested due to no labour.
Cillin and Treacle have stopped fighting. It could be just because it's too hot. I have to do Cillins bandage twice a day and because of the heat he is hard to get at. Tribe 1's favourite shade spot at this heat level is deep in the woods on a treacherous piece of bank. I almost dropped him this morning. He's very good; good enough for me to be able to do a bandage change on my own. I need to get some vet wrap. The micro-pore bandage comes undone in this humidity; currently 72% and not a cloud in the sky.

I hope we are ok with food this winter! I might need to stock up on more emergency foods
