I would be surprised if many here know about the series The Prisoner. I've been to Portmeirion and it's quite something.
I watched growing up. It is awesome!

Except Prime is not free. ;)
But if you have prime you can watch for free! Without prime you pay but I would pay to watch them. I did watch them again a couple of years ago

I vaguely remember watching it as a child. About the only thing solid in my memory is the balloons.

eta - I just watched a long-ago interview with Patrick McGoohan about The Prisoner. For a while, I was a bit distracted by seeing two men chain-smoking through the entire interview . . . yeah, that long ago. But I digress - he mentioned that the original concept of the balloon thing (named 'Rover') was that it was a machine that could climb walls and go underwater and all kinds of nifty stuff. Unfortunately, when they went to film the first scene of Rover going underwater, it sank, never to be seen again. Shortly after, someone saw a weather balloon passing overhead, and with the inspiration born of desperation, Rover got a complete makeover. They managed to acquire a great number of weather balloons at short notice (quite fortuitous, since they are actually pretty fragile), and came up with a variety of ways to get different effects from them.

Good morning Cafe.
Coffee is made.
39C forecast for today.:( I'm not expecting to be in any better humour at the end of the day than I was yesterday.
Lots to do but not even sensible to try in this heat.
I too feel like I’m not getting anything accomplished. Between the heat & most of the stuff I’ve ordered recently missing parts, I’ve been pretty much stymied. :hmm

I’ve been able to do chores & run errands, though lifting cement blocks & bags of sand is no fun when you’re panting into a mask in 100* weather. I have about an hour window at mosquito-thirty where I brave the blood suckers & I have the bites to prove it.

I’m worried sick about my CA peeps. :hugsStay safe guys!

The weather is just making me grumpier than usual Roomy. The world isn't going to end if I did nothing for the rest of my life. Things are weird enough with the virus and the economy without the 'can't do a lot' weather.
I'll tell you what may help if you haven't already found out. I've bought a couple of cotton masks that actually fit. There are no nose grips in them which helps me with the breathing and they aren't as restrictive to the air flow. I managed to carry a 40kg bag of feed a couple of hundred meters wearing one and I use one like this for the out and about in towns now. I have a proper medical type mask for high population density situations. I need a bigger handbag.:D

Good morning Cafe.
Coffee is made. Tea bags are on their way apparently.:wee I suffer if I don't get my tea fixes.
Yup, they were right. It is cloudy. It's still well above 30C though. The clouds look like they should drop water......
Cillin ripped the scab off his leg. I still haven't found what I need to give him leg armour and let the leg breathe.
Tackle has a bad limp and today is her first day out after three days of being stuck with me. The tribe is very good with her but she can't make any emergency dashes. Not quite sure what I should be doing with her. She needs to move the leg to get strength back but not make it any worse. I have no idea how she managed to get into such a state. To add to her misery, she's moulting.
