I installed carpet for 32 years. Always took pride in my work. Near the end of my career it was nearly impossible to get good help. Lots of times I'd just do the job alone. Not easy. Was glad to finally retire.

The greatest part of retiring was that I no longer had to look for good help.

No...
I haven't done anything in the bathroom to get tiling other than a lot of thinking and talking.
I will finish installing the back splash tile in the kitchen and grout tomorrow, install the faucet, sink strainers and connect them to the drain, slide the stove back into it's bay and move the dryer out of it's bay to install the hard duct work.

Wall plates need to go on, I have to replace some of the electric boxes because they are so small the can't fit the conductors and the new devices I'm putting in around the house.

Still have cup pulls to install on the drawers, the deck to finish, the sliding glass door to install, the siding to install on the back of the house, the landscaping to plant and mulch.
The bathroom is the big one. That will take at least 8 full days to finish.

And I'll be on dad's roof Sat and Sun and my roof Tues-Thursday or longer...

My new goal is to have her in before Oct 1. And my roof done before Oct 15. And be working on dad's house by the end of Oct.

We have another heat wave coming as a conrast:

I hung the microwave today. And had nephew and his girlfriend paint closets.

We will meet in the morning to clear all the rooms that are getting carpet and do a dump run if it isn't raining.
And the shower drain install still beckons wanting to be done.

The rain just started again.

What exactly did the microwave do to deserve hanging?
