Us too. I'm going to clean the stove and chimney out tonight to get ready to burn. It's our only heat source.
The guy we've been buying wood from for 3 years wasn't getting back to me when I left a message on his house phone and texted him. He has the best prices around and the wood is great. Dry, clean and well seasoned hardwoods. Last year he and his wife told us they were going to be cutting way back on fuel wood and would likely just retire so I assumed he was done.
He texted me yesterday and told me that he'll get me my 2 cords ASAP but he had just injured himself. I asked him what happened and he said a limb fell on him practically breaking his face and he had to have surgery on Monday but that he'll be okay!!
I offered to come over to his house and load the wood in the dump truck for him.

These next 10 days or so I will enjoy immensely. I love the cool weather. This is my favorite time of year with spring being a close second.
I have help down at my mom's house from the most unlikely of sources. My sister and her family. My sister and I fell out of terms during the great flood of 2011 when my house was rated a total loss but was still standing and I had a whopping $19,000 to repair it. She never really helped me. I had to keep calling to say I needed help. She just really couldn't be bothered. Things got ugly. I refused to talk to her until we talked about WHY she behaved the way she did.
So here we are almost a decade later... talking. Eventually, we will have that long overdue discussion. ATM, I'm just grateful for all the great help they've given me. It is because of this that I will certainly have mom in her house before the month is out.

There are. Against The Grain makes a decent pizza. Avoid anything made by Shar like the plague (unless powdered and reconstituted rice cakes are of interest). Do not buy the Trader Duke's gluten free brownie mix (unless chewing on a sponge is your thing). My DD1 is GF, vegetarian and sensitive to all nightshades. That really reduces the options.

Thank you for that information, Bruce! Helps to know some of these things before hand. That kind of restriction your DD has would be tough.

We are cooler for the next couple of weeks with highs in the 80s!

Air Quality is starting in the good range and goes to the Moderate range today. The weekend will be the worst though-- goes up to unhealthy for sensitive groups then
