Bummed that friends did not get poults this year, so no fresh turkey.

Gonna throw a chicken on the grill tonight....I think.

Good News: Grass Seed I planted is Sprouting.

It's a PITA!
I've noticed some feathers in the nest the week or so.
Today she was in nest early this morning, still there (or there again) at 4pm.
I pulled her out, she didn't flatten or cluckcluckcluckcluck or scream.
If she's still in there tonight I'll crate her. SMH.
At least there's a hen laying a couple times a week.

He is good pup in many ways and learning as he goes .. He is going to be a solid little dog not afraid of much

Sometimes, it's just a look...
Una at 8 months. She ended up in the crate after 6 days of this look and being caught in the nest boxes every night.

She tried again about a month ago. Her belly is bare but just tossing her out did the trick.

Who else allows their pin cushion molters to hide in the nest boxes for the night?

Mine haven't tried that Dobie. Though I've had to move 1 or 2 girls from the feed room into the coop every night the last 4 or 5.
