It's so nice today, hard to believe what's right around the corner..

But I've got an inside project going. Finally decided to tackle the bathroom. I've been worried about painting over the tongue and groove pine, but there's so much of it I think it'll be a nice change of pace. I'll have to run in and get some more paint!

Painting with a brush is going to take six days and seven nights, but I like the nice smooth finish. So many cracks to have to brush, anyway.

:( on the weather prediction. :) on the indoor job.

Good evening everyone, and thank you for the much needed coffee boost @Shadrach !

Were you able to finish your Dad's roof today as scheduled, @DobieLover ?

Having cancelled the vacation seems to be the best decision at this moment. Hopefully the 'sweet sister' was being reasonable and did not take offense.

ETA: of course it is already almost 9 pm and dark for quite some time here in Germany and you will still have many hours to go. :D

We got where we wanted to get. It will take about 3 hours to hit the ridge tomorrow. Then I'll switch gears to washing and staining the second floor shutters and cleaning the basement room under the great room for painting.

That will really brighten up the room!

Jeez, that's great about the fires, Margie. Were they pretty close to you? I hope your air quality has improved!
Yes, at one point we had 4 fires surrounding us and myself, cat and sheepies, plus 2 kids evacuated and scattered here and there. Cat in one place, sheep in another, people hanging out in Denver with DS@. DS$ was at a wrestling tournament in another state when we had to go and then he needed good internet for online classes. DH stayed behind with the chickens to guard the place with a few other neighbors. We do have Nomex and other fire gear. It was a mess. Power surges when they gave it back to us fried the microwave and the computer monitor. We somehow sprang a leak in the water line from the well to the house, probably not fire-related, but a backhoe worthy digging event. Just got the hole backfilled today. The water heater had a fit and I had to "Press the Red Button!" It did bless us with hot water again. Now we have a circuit that is giving us issues in the kitchen so the NEW microwave is in the livingroom.
Anyway, tomorrow I have someone coming to look at bags of wool. We shall see.
