Was he tested...and treated?
I wonder if they really know how to handle 'mild' cases.
So much conflicting info.
Had a buddy test positive, after a contact had testes positive too.
They Q'd him for 14 days, very few symptoms, then said they wouldn't test again because it would be positive.
WTF?
He never had a fever.
My nephew had fever and horrible headache for 3-4 days, but his test was negative.
So many different tests, so much room for error, I don't trust any of them, let alone this vaccine that is supposedly coming soon.
Yes, tested. Not treated for anything. After about a week the rest of the family was tested, all positive except one, but the gal said he had to have it. False negative is my guess. A few days later he had a fever(he's 8). The health department hasn't checked on anything and never did contact tracing, so not sure how that works. They sent him a letter that said if he was caught out and about they'd fine him. I don't know if it's because it's blowing up so bad and they don't have the time to inform or what?

How are you supposed to know when you can reenter society? I would think if he's running a fever he's still contagious, but that doesn't fall in line with the 14 day quarantine...I don't know.

Glad your buddy was okay. If a test after 14 days is positive, doesn't that mean you're still contagious?? I don't understand this whole thing. Hopefully neither him or your nephew will have to deal with it again. I read that it's rare to go another round, but not impossible. Though, it doesn't seem that the powers that be know much more than us lay-folk

Does anyone have experience with this covid stuff? My brother is still sick. This is day 16 from him first feeling sick and now he's got a fever of 100.6. I guess I was under the impression that it didn't last this long.
I have read about covid going that long and longer. Some take months to recover and some have permanent lung and organ damage.

The Family that had covid here that we know had nearly no symptoms to a week or so of symptoms. Age did seem to make a difference. None of them wore over 60.

I don't understand either.....and to be fair, I don't think the medical world does either,
I guess they are doing the best they can, but still(never have really trusted it).
Asymptomatic(no fever?) spreaders have been talked about,
why everyone should be masked as the only known semi-effective preventative.

Also much talk about people with other medical issues are more likely to become ill,
so many variables for who gets sick and how badly they are damaged long term.
Very scary as winter rolls in, everyone is inside, and desperate to gather during the holidays.

That's another thing, it's been no respiratory symptoms at all. Said he feels like he's got a brain termite haha. Not sure exactly what that means, but doesn't sound like his thinker is working quite right.

Lots of people around here that foofoo the virus. I do wonder how the holiday season will go. We've been up to 1000+ cases a day and with around a million people in the state it just seems inevitable that we all get it.
