BYC Café

we've still got our landline;

why? what is funny about it?
It's been many moons since I've seen a phone with a cord in someones house :p We still have a landline, but the phones are cordless. Of course most businesses still have cord phones.

Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.
It's drizzling out. It actually feels warmer this morning than it did last night before bed.
Have a great day everyone.
Thanks for the coffee!

that reminds me of an image that stuck in my head from US TV shows we used to get here - the phones were hung on the wall and had really long cords attached, so the actors could and would walk all round the room chatting away; we had to stick pretty close to the phone as our cords would only stretch to about two feet :rolleyes: Now they have speaker function, so you don't have to hold the handset (which is better than nursing a mobile in my book) and can sit where you like :p

Not sure I trust the 'data', except the hospitalization and death counts....
....because what are they basing it on, those questionable 'tests'?
This scenario is really setting off my jaded skepticism.
Not sure I trust much of that either.
Looking at recent UK studies on the effectiveness of the tests doesn't leave one feelinng confident.

Good morning Cafe. Thanks for the coffee Tonya ☕
I've brought along some Lotus biscuits to go with it
I still use a phone I bought in 2009...that's because it is a phone, not a computer! :gig Oh, and battery lasts over a week between charging :gig
I got given a simple phone. Don't know exactly where it is....
