Christmas tree is down and needles are cleaned up. This one dropped early.

We had ours allot ealier this year but cut fresh local tree farm

Before 2013 when I stopped decorating for Christmas, I always went to a local tree farm and cut my own tree. I love live trees.
But I can't stand the waste. I was walking into WM yesterday and there were at least 3 dozen cut trees lined up along the wall that no one had purchased.
I'm going to get an artificial tree so I don't have to start harvesting a tree that only goes to decorate my house once a year.
I've got it in my Amz cart and am waiting to see the price drop before buying it.

Actually with me it's an art. I love shoveling snow- I can see the effects of my efforts.

I do too....most the time....the slush today was not so much fun.
Slicker than snot....and heavy.
Sand don't work in slush.

We had a little 3foot artificial tree and some decorations around the house. It was minimal but nice.

Outside we had a projector that had snowflakes for the side of the house

The river has shot right up

Sure did! I have some friends that moved to Vestal about 30 years ago. Not being sure where the house is I did some Googling. Pretty close to the river, I hope they didn't flood. The REALLY sad thing is that we've fallen out of touch over the years and I found the wife's obituary from 2012. She was 57. She had weight and serious health issues for as long as I've known them so not surprising but

I've read about them but never thought in a million years I'd see one crow.

Echo started crowing when she was about 2 years old. But then she hardly ever made normal hen noises other than the egg song.

Leek and potato soup on the stove for those who are cold and hungry like me.

I was thinking of making that but was not surprised when DW said "I'll pass". She isn't fond of white potatoes, only yams/sweet potatoes.

But she will like this for dinner on the 1st. Her Bday is the 12th day of Xmas, the 5th.

I picked up the seafood today.

She loves to bite off great gobs of snow from the bank on the deck. Weirdo.

My chickens do that with snow on my boots. But do they eat the snow on the ground? Nope.

Hey, guess what? They say CO is the first state to test positive for the new strain of Da' Vid!

And today they are saying that the person with it hadn't travelled which means there are at least 2 people in CO with it.
