This computer needs to be replaced!
Did you notice the "t" was missing from the word stand? I did. Went back and corrected it.
I type fast but the keyboard is missing letters and spaces with normal typing pressure.
I replaced the keyboard about 2 years ago.
The laptop is a cheapo Lenovo without any frills but we don't need that.
I read an article explaining what to expect for the life of a laptop. It depended on how good the original hardware was (generally reflected in the price you paid), what you do with it and how well you take care of it.
According the the article, written by a heavy gamer who works in IT and builds computers on the side, my computer would be expected to last 2-4 years.
I've not been very good to it as I frequently put it on a pillow to type so it can overheat and I never unplug it from the charger when the battery is full.
It is 6 years and 3 months old so I guess that's good. It has lots of annoying glitches so instead of trying to get it fixed, I think I need to start shopping for the replacement.
Sigh. I hate shopping for electronics.

Another beautiful sunny above freezing breezy day out there. I fed my Christmas tree to the sheep and the bones will go on the burn pile, which reminds me, I need to file for more permits! DS$, DS#, and I, plus his friend will play Catan later on. My competitive side came out yesterday... not good and I still didn't win! Sigh... LOL! Who is the grown-up?

Hot chocolate in the jug on the stove. All milk. Help yourselves.
Cold here but lots of sun during the day.
It's going to freeze again tonight. I remembered to empty the chickens and ducks water containers this evening for once.
Stoves on. Tunes on. Supper on. Do it all again tomorrow.

Has it ever been or any of the follow-up versions? Win10 also has provided me with quite a lot of grey hairs....

The big difference is that supported OS's are patched when a vulnerability is found.

I would not do banking on a Win 7 computer.

Sadly we need to learn how to use the new OS versions as they come out
