I just bought an incubator and was thinking about putting it in there. Obviously, this is not a common occurrence, but might be fun in any case!Send her to me!!!!![]()

I'd put my money on the Ameraucana.Out of the chickens I have in that coop it could be an Ameraucana, Cream Legbar or Easter Egger.
That was my thought, too, DL. There is one that roosts right over where this was laid.I'd put my money on the Ameraucana.

Could she be short-sighted?Bella LOVES snow and ice. Whenever she comes in from a potty break she stops to bite great gobs of snow off the bank on the deck. Whenever I get ice from the ice dispenser, she comes running to stare at me until I give her a cube.
Catching them? Never gonna happen. That girl has THE worst timing for catching stuff for her to eat. She's been bonked in the head by I can't count the number of snow balls I've lobbed for her to try to catch.![]()
Ha! I did not notice that. Too funny. I have a very "backwoods, right-wing" irrigation supplier with a sense of humor"Make irrigation great again" ?? Ahemmm...![]()
I once had a very considerate Araucana rooster that was very resourceful in finding ways to breed even the biggest hens. He just let himself slide down alongside their backs all the while still holding on to their plumage with his beak, then letting himself drop slightly to their right side and coming from the side he was successful. The hens loved him and were always willing as he was always feeding them, taking care of their chicks (he loved chicks and got all excited when they hatched under a broody, spending hours at her side and cooing to lure them out of their eggshells). This morning, Napoleon again went after his hatch mother, Mommy Dearest. He got her, hopped on and failed miserably to hit the target. He just can't reach on the big girls, even if by the flock standards the ones he pursues are small.
Within seconds, Tink went by, he caught her too and this time had success.
Fabio walked over but didn't seem to really care too much. He's shown no interest in the little girls so far. I hope it stays that way. I can't see him having any success either.
