19 here and waiting for freezing rain and snow.... snuggle with somebody today!

Valentine's Day. I haven't celebrated that since I was in high school.

The mouse traps were un-tripped and still baited this morning. No signs of visitors. And I didn't get the stop replaced so the gap is still there. I hope that's a good sign that I do not have any real mouse problem to worry about.
But I still intend to install the additional door stop to close the gap. And setting the traps on occasion won't hurt either. Just to be sure.

Morning and Happy Valentine's Day! Hot coffee is what I brought as it is -15F out there.
I think it is a hanging out at the house kind of day and get some baking done.

Light and fluffy easy to shovel, but c'mon, enough already!

Was glad to see that the lone roosting hen is still alive and well this morning.
Went outside with all the rest for scratch in the newly shoveled run.

That's good. I hate watching for decline for things you have little control over. I'm keeping my eye on my last WLH. It's unlikely she'll last the year.

Speaking of watching decline, I've made the appointment for Mogwai. I can't take it anymore. She goes in Thursday night to be euthanized.
She came up asking to eat this morning so I gave her a tiny meal to get her started. She took two licks of it and walked away. She's back down to 4.8 pounds. I've been cleaning poop and pee out of the tub and off the floor in the mud room. It's too much.

Yes. I had called the office and asked to have a message left for the vet that last saw her for the bloodwork. He basically just let me talk myself to that conclusion and said he completely agreed. It still sucks. I hate this part of pet ownership.
