BYC Café

but you can clean your bowels the old fashioned way using Glauber's sodium sulphate or Epsom salt magnesium sulphate too.
Maybe we'll find out next year. I'm just not going through this again this year.

That is what I thought at first, but this happened in different cities and hospitals. One person of the staff developed onesided paralysis due to a spine marrow infection caused by the vaccine.

Maybe something was wrong with some of the batches.

In several senior residents they were having troubles too: Even though the residents had received their second vaccine several weeks or month ago, they still got infected, developed severe symptoms and lots of them died of Covid. It is being investigated.

South Africa is said to have asked AstraZeneca to take back their already delivered amounts because they claim it having hardly any effect on the strains they are dealing with.
really weird. This in the news here today
"Research led by Public Health Scotland found in the fourth week after the first dose, hospitalisations were reduced by 85% and 94% for the Pfizer and AstraZeneca jabs respectively.
It is the first sign of the real world impact of vaccination in the UK.
Figures for England are expected to be released later.
Among the over 80s, there was an overall 81% reduction in the numbers admitted to hospital...The preliminary data from the EAVE II project covers 1.14 million vaccinations given in Scotland between 8 December and 15 February." https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-56153600

Maybe after you recovered from this experience, because it would be a shame to realize that this one year made the difference, as it sadly did with one friend of ours.

Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready AND I'M DRINKING SOME!!!

I will not be having the colonoscopy today... the prep only just started taking effect 11.5 HOURS after I started drinking it. The stuff was making me sick. I was nauseous, chilled and had a horrible headache. And after 3 hours, nothing. I called my nurse sister and she said to keep sipping it. I couldn't take another drop by 10:30 last night. and still nothing.

I called the GI lab and told them don't wait for me. Maybe I have to fast for 2 days prior. And they'd better give me something different next year when I do this. I'm not even bothering to try to reschedule for this year. You couldn't pay me to go through that again.
so sorry to hear this Tonya. I hope your gut settles down again quickly so you can get some relief.

Strange indeed.

Here it is reported that AstraZeneca has a low effect of about 40% and they now even recommend to get either Biontech/Pfizer or Moderna on top if you want to feel somewhat secure.
People, and mainly doctors, nurses and other health workers reject the AstraZeneca vaccination because of the rather poor protective effect as opposed to the serious adverse reactions.

Your hearty dinner did not serve the purpose I presume.
I was wondering about that hearty meal.
IIRC I had to fast for better part of the day before starting the flushing agent.

Everything is dripping outside.
Thankful we didn't get more than a mere coating of snow, instead of the 4" they predicted was possible.

DL, sorry to hear you had troubles with the "clean out."

We got about a half inch of heavy, wet snow overnight. I'll be out shoveling the slop later this morning. Gotta get it off the driveway/sidewalk before everything freezes back up in a couple of days.

It felt weird to go out and have it be above freezing at 7 am!

Time for another cup. Warmed milk, anyone?

About what we got.....but supposed to stay above freezing day and night until Wed night.
Am hoping the warmth, sun, and wind takes down most the snow on the driveway.

I haven't been out yet, but opened a window wide, and yeah, weird!
Yesterday I was out shoveling with no coat, just gloves.
