It was a very hard and sad time.

Ever since she is living alone with her two dogs and her chickens on her little farm in the Austrian mountains. For almost six month per year the sun will not shine there as her home is overshadowed by the mountains.
I'm sure you/she knows that AS and many other autoimmune diseases are linked to vitamin D deficiency. Living where she does, does she get shots or take supplements?

Could not tolerate living in the shadows like that, depression would increase to unsurvivable levels.

Got out with the camera this afternoon.

Our first daffodils are blooming! A few crocus too. And I heard the spring peepers on our evening walk. All in all, a nice spring day.

No way I could live in the shadow of a mountain for months at a time. Hubby keeps trying to get me to want to move to Alaska. No, hell no, and no FN way. I need sunlight. I'm part plant.
