BYC Café

I checked the nest boxes when I went in and found little Miss Broody Pants in there AGAIN!
How long since her last bout?

Let my broody out of the crate in the hot coop(90°) about 4pm.
Kept going out to check since she's still ticking, 2 hours later she's out in the run dinking around and ticking. Was all ready with another crate in the run, a tub for a dip and frozen water bottle. Wonders if she'll go to roost tonight.

How long since her last bout?
About 5 weeks. It took the full 3 days/2 nights the last time.
She is so mad at me! I reached in to show her the water bottle again and she watched me then growled and pecked my finger! Little twerp. She's the d'Uccle, Jody.

I wonder how @Perris and @CapricornFarm are doing? They were very busy lately, has anyone heard of them? Just hope they are well.
yes all good thanks LF; April we had record-breaking dry weather and this month we've had more rain than any other May since records began in 1862 - and we've still a week to go! - so gardening has been challenging (to say the least). It's also about half the temp it should be so a lot of things are struggling and/or had to be redone:th

I hope you are all keeping well and the stuck weather patterns aren't impacting anyone too badly; I expect to be catching up with you all in due course :)

Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.
Good to hear from you, Perris!
My body is not cooperating with my motivation. I'm so sore this morning. I finished prepping and planting all the flower pots/boxes yesterday after work and raked up a few wheel barrows of grass clippings to mulch the veggie gardens with then had the normal cooking and prep to do. My body needs to get off vacation and get with the program.

Good morning and thanks for the coffee!
The "kind" of odd seems to be changing up here. The old mountain men are dying off and now you have a bunch of trust-fund explorers, (not that there is anything wrong with that) that seem to want to make things how they think it is supposed to be on TV with money but no skills and no ability to listen to people that have been up here for lifetimes. They generally don't last long, or they just "summer." The horse owner person seems to have a serious mental illness, which is unfortunate, to say the least.
But anyway, there are chores to do and time is getting on...
