Hubby is taking me out for dinner to a little Mexican restaurant we both like. It's for our anniversary, which is actually tomorrow, but he might end up working late tomorrow.

It's number 32! Time sure flies.

Good afternoon, Cafe! Brewed a fresh pot for anyone in need.

Got a much needed break in the madness that is spring startup in irrigation season. Unfortunately, it was in the form of a ridiculous weather pattern that brought 85° the Sunday before last and 24° for a low last Thursday. The night before I was reading about temperatures and blooming fruit trees...10% loss at 28° and 90% loss at 24°. Was up most of the night watching the temps drop (it's projected on our bedroom wall) and wanted to cry with disappointment as it did indeed reach 24°. Looking at the pears yesterday, I would guess 90% is pretty accurate, but I was happy to see the plums seem to have faired much better! Might have some fruit, yet

Thanks, Roomy! The whole barn is in need of a paint job. We dream of wrapping it in metal, but that'll be some years down the road. Especially with the prices being what they are now! Crazy But that would mean never having to paint again

Right?? Ugh. Planting one weekend and shoveling snow the next... Actually, I flat refused to bring out the snow shovel. I'm over it, let it melt

But I couldn't take it any longer and it was so very nice outside. Always feels good to get your hands in the dirt.

We got the cows moved the weekend before last, so they had to be fed after the foot of heavy wet snow came. This little munchkin is too funny. Mama is Fiona (daughter of Chewy the Highlander) and is half Angus. Fiona was AI'd to a Highlander, but can't really tell if it took or not. Either way, pretty cute.
