Yeah, I'm thinking of giving her a cool water dunk during the high heat(87-88°) tomorrow and Tuesday.

Given I had a hen sequentially thaw 2 refreezable ice packs I don't hold out a lot of hope for the "give them a cold shock" methods.

It's funny as the day before we left we had to burn a fire in the stove to take the chill off the air as it was 36 degrees that morning. The day we got back I had to open up all the windows to get the heat out of the house. It was 84 degrees!

I turned off the furnaces on Tuesday but had to turn them back on yesterday morning.

I hope June is better!

Wasn't needed after all.
Was only going to do it because it was 90° and I was worried about her heat stroking.
I don't think the dunking method works on it's own either.

Absolutely not but it sure helps in the heat and for tranced out stubborn broodies.

Sure could use still damp here will take the week to dry things out but June is normaly drier here.. I sure hope it is
